La Natividad won the final of the Hurlingham Open on Saturday, winning 13-12 against La Dolfina Saudi at the Hurlingham Polo Club.

The fifth ever 80 goal competitive match was a hard fought affair that came down to the wire as anticipated. La Natividad came out of the blocks faster and raced to a five goal lead by the end of the third chukka. La Dolfina's fight back began in earnest in the fourth and they were able to overtake their rivals in the sixth chukka after keeping them scoreless for two entire chukkas. Adolfo Cambiaso had to be replaced by Gonzalo Ferrari and La Natividad saw the opportunity to get back on track, tying the game in the seventh chukka with some inspired play by Barto Castagnola. With seconds left on the clock in the eighth chukka it was Facundo Pieres who found the winner for La Natividad to give them their second ever Hurlingham Open title.
