Mint Eco Car Wash won the final of the USPA Women's East Coast Open on Sunday, winning 6-5 against LBL Polo at the New Bridge Polo & Country Club.
Both teams were evenly matched on paper and so it proved for the first three chukkas which all ended in tied scores. Mint Eco Car Wash pulled ahead in the fourth and final chukka, outscoring LBL Polo 2-1, which proved to be the deciding factor in the end. Overall Mint Eco Car Wash created more chances from open play than their opponents and were more efficient at converting them, but they also gave away twice as many fouls, which let their opponents stay in the game due to their consistent penalty taking.
