Player insight Pablo MacDonough

Pablo MacDonough played in the number 3 shirt for King Power during the UK season, a pivotal position for any team and one that played well to his strengths. His stats speak for themselves, 3rd highest scorer of the season with 76 goals, 26 from the field including 4 from outside the 60, plus an impressive 50 penalties in, out of 59 penalty shots, an accuracy percentage of 84.7%.

This incredible scoring power is what helped take his side to semi finals in both the Queen's Cup and the Gold Cup, and his performance saw them push eventual winners of the latter to a 12-11 scoreline.

Combining well with Nico Pieres at back, he fulfilled his playmaker role, credited with 16 assists and 52 throw ins won. A strong horseman he is a pro at moving people off the line as well as remaining in possession under heavy defensive pressure. He is cool headed in front of goal, never taking that extra, set up shot that can leave players vulnerable to interceptions. He shoots quickly, confidently and accurately.

He has had an incredible season so far in Argentina, winning the Hurlingham Open with La Natividad and we wait to see if he qualifies for the all important Argentine Open final later this week.
