Led from the back by number 1 ladies player Nina Clarkin, this exciting line up were unbeaten throughout the Guards Ladies Charity Polo Tournement, the final tournament on the ladies polo cicuit in the UK.
The first high goal season for Nina's daughter Elizabeth, she joined stalwart teammate Lucy Coddington and team sponsor Laura Farrell. The combination's experience playing together was visible in their dominance over all teams, including their final opponents Polo Performance. They read each other's plays well, turning up for backhands quickly and able to turn plays into running attacks easily thanks to Nina's backshots and Lucy's anticipation of the plays. Nina directed the team from the back, sending pinpoint passes up to daughter Elizabeth and number 2 Laura Farrell, creating attacking opportunities. It was Nina and Lucy who did the heavy lifting in terms of goal scoring as their polo experience shone through.
