Texas A&M University won the final of the Division I Women's National Intercollegiate Championship on Sunday 30th March, winning 12-10 against University of Virginia at the Prestonwood Polo & Country Club. While the University of Virginia were consistent throughout, never letting Texas A&M get too far ahead, they were unable to make up the deficit after a strong 3rd chukka from Texas A&M University from which moment Texas A&M University remained in the lead.

Possession was equal throughout but, Texas A&M took great advantage of their shots to goal, scoring 11 out of 17 while the University of Virginia had the same number of opportunities, they were just unable to convert them to all important points on the board.
