Zapican BMW won the final of the Joe Barry Memorial on Sunday 26th January, winning 10-8 against ConcordEquityGroup.com at Port Mayaca Polo Club. It was a closely contested match which started evenly. Zapican BMW started strong, dominating the possession and keeping it in their attacking half, but a strong second chukka from ConcordEquity saw them pull it back, equalising 3-3 going in to the 3rd. But Zapican BMW were determined, with Nachi Viana and Santiago Wulf (in for Felipe Viana) combining well to create plenty of scoring opportunities with 9 out of 15 of their shots to goal going in.

ConcordEquity.com played a clean, strategic game, keeping penalty scoring opportunities to a minimum for Zapican BMW who scored just 1 of their 10 goals from the penalty line. ConcordEquityGroup.com on the other hand had triple the penalty scoring opportunities, but were unable to capitalise on them as they needed to, half of them missing the mark. While ConcordEquityGroup.com led in both throw in wins and shots on goal, they were unable to make the most of them and despite drawing close in the penultimate chukka, a strong final push from Zapican BMW saw them run out the winners 10-8.
