On October 31, La Irenita II met Chapaleufu in the Torneo Clasificatorio Remonta y Veterinaria at Pilar. The two evenly matched teams battled throughout the match as Chapaleufu’s two goal seventh led by Rufino Bensadon proved to be the difference to seal the narrow win 12-10.
Awarded one goal on handicap, Chapaleufu’s Bensadon converted a penalty goal early in the first as Facundo Fernandez Llorente got La Irenita II on the board with a goal from the field. La Irenita II posted a strong second chukka, scoring three goals, including two from Fernandez Llorente. Only scoring once in the second, Bensadon opened the third for Chapaleufu, as Fernandez Llorente responded for La Irenita II. Agustin Garcia Grossi found the goal first for La Irenita II to start the fourth, but Chapaleufu took control of the final chukker before the half with Juan Martin Zavaleta scoring two of Chapaleufu’s four goals to tie the match 7-all at the break.
Emerging from the half, the two teams traded goals in the fifth, with one goal for Chapaleufu’s Bensadon and Agustin Garcia Grossi scoring for La Irenita II. Both teams would score two goals each in the sixth as La Irenita II’s Fernandez Llorente and Chapaleufu’s Bensadon each found the goal twice for their respective teams. Entering the final chukker tied at 10, Julian de Lusarreta broke the stalemate in the seventh for Chapaleufu as Bensadon would score his eighth goal of the match to lift Chapaleufu over La Irenita for the victory.
