

The high-shooting match began with Ellerstina Pilot’s Facundo Piers getting onto the scoreboard with an opening penalty shot in the first chukka. La Ensenada’s Alfredo Bigatti was quick to respond with two additional opening chukka goals. Ellerstina Pilot kept the pressure on in the first half, scoring two consecutive goals in the second and another in the third from the mallet of Matias Torres Zavaleta. A response from Juan Britos and Juan Martin Zuba in the latter stages of the third eliminated La Ensenada’s deficit and brought the two teams tied 3-3 going into the half.
Entering the second half of the game it would be Ellerstina Pilot who would break through first, scoring four unanswered goals in the chukker including another two penalty goals from Facundo Piers. After trading goals in the fifth, Juan Britos managed to bring La Ensenada closer to Ellerstina Pilot scoring two goals, carrying a four goal deficit into the sixth. Despite the best efforts of La Ensenada and two more final chukka goals, Facundo Piers once again came through in the final chukka to seal the match and 11-8 victory for Ellerstina Pilot.
