La Ensenada Dietrich won the Subsidiary-final of the Hurlingham Open on Friday, winning 15-11 against Cría La Dolfina at the Hurlingham Polo Club.
An early onslought by La Ensenada put the game virtually out of reach for Cría La Dolfina, who found themselves trailing by seven goals by the end of the second chukka. After Juan Martín Zubía was replaced by Santiago Loza due to an injury the game became a more even affair and Cría La Dolfina were able to close the gap to three goals during the middle of the match. A strong seventh chukka by La Ensenada widened the gap again and they had a six goal cushion going into the final chukka, which was too much for their opponents to overcome.
