Ellerstina UAE Yellow Rose won the Quarter-final of the Hurlingham Open on Wednesday, winning 19-12 against La Ensenada Dietrich at the Hurlingham Polo Club.
This match was billed as the closest to call of the quarter-finals, but it turned out to be a comfortable win for the Ellerstina team, who only have one Pieres left in their lineup. A big third chukka tipped the scales in favour of La Zeta and La Ensenada were unable to claw back the deficit from then on. Sapo Caset led his team's scoring with 14 goals (11 penalties) and young Lucas Monteverde showed that he is a future star to keep an eye on. This sets up a clash with La Dolfina in the semi-finals which will no doubt prove to be a much bigger mountain to climb for this new version of La Ellerstina.
