On September 21, 2021, La Dolfina Doctor 2U and La Natividad battled in the final of the San Jorge Open at Palermo. After both teams successfully navigated the semifinals, the final matchup was set between two offensively dominant teams, as La Natividad were able to establish an early lead and take advantage of penalty shot opportunities to claim the championship 13-8.
La Dolfina Doctor 2U opened the scoring with two goals from Francisco Elizalde and Joevy Beh. After scoring a goal of their own in the first, La Natividad took the momentum into the second chukka as Bartolome Castagnola Jr. scored two goals, one from the field and one on a penalty, which was followed by another field goal from Poroto Cambiaso. The third chukka saw La Dolfina Doctor 2U’s Joevy Beh and La Natividad’s Bartolome Castagnola Jr. trading goals, as La Natitvidad taking the 5-4 lead into halftime. Emerging from the half La Natividad emerged offensively determined to add to their lead as Poroto Cambasio and Bartolome Castagnola Jr. each scored two goals in the chukka to increase La Natividad’s lead to five-goals. La Natividad continued to be successful in the fifth, adding an additional three goals and keeping La Dolfina Doctor 2U’s Joevy Beh to only one goal on a penalty shot. Making one last push for a championship comeback La Dolfina Doctor 2U were able to score three additional goals in the sixth but ultimately ran out of time as La Natividad were crowned the San Jorge Open Champions in a convincing 13-8 victory.
