After falling to La Dolfina Doctor 2U in their first match of the San Jorge Open at Palmero, La Dolfina BP were seeking redemption against La Natividad. Despite committing no fouls in the game, La Dolfina BP struggled to convert their own penalty attempts and were unable to secure the win as La Natividad celebrated as 14-10 victors.
La Natividad began the game scoring two goals in the first chukka including a goal from Bartolome Castagnola Jr. Scoring for Castagnola Jr. continued as he added another two goals in the second, along with an additional two goals from his father, Bartolome Castagnola in the third, as La Natividad took the 8-2 lead into halftime. In an attempt to erase their 5-goal first half deficit, La Dolfina’s Alejo Taranco posted the first goal of the fourth chukka. This momentum continued into the fifth as James Beh added another three goals for La Dolfina. However, missed chances on penalty conversions would prove detrimental for La Dolfina BP’s chances of a comeback. After being awarded four penalty shots throughout the game, La Dolfina BP were unable to convert a single goal. Combined with two more goals off the mallet of Bartolome Castagnola Jr. in the final chukka, La Natividad’s efficient offense efforts and clean defensive strategy allowed them to claim the 14-10 win.
