The second match-up of the H. Ben Taub Memorial at Houston Polo Club featured a high scoring affair between ML Bar Ranch and Horsegate/Tonkawa, as impressive accuracy from the field in an offensive blitz saw ML Bar Ranch emerging victorious 12-5.
The first chukker saw opening offensive action from Horsegate/Tonkawa as they outscored ML Bar Ranch 2-1. ML Bar Ranch began their scoring onslaught in the second chukker scoring two goals, with a brillant third from Cody Ellis, scoring three straight unanswered goals and leading ML Bar Ranch to a 6-2 advantage at the half. Although Horsegate/Tonkawa came out strong scoring first in the fourth and sixth chukkers with contributions from Jeff Hildebrand and Shane Rice, the effort was ultimately no match for the scoring abilities of ML Bar Ranch and that of Cody Ellis, who ended the game with eight goals, pushing his team to the 12-5 dominant victory.
