Nearside Pick-Up - USA

One of the core skills in polo is the nearside pick-up which is used in multiple in-game scenarios. 

Here is an example of a successful nearside pick-up resulting in a goal: 

• Player claims the line of the ball (LOB) as the defender indicates he will block him
• Player takes on the nearside to avoid conceding possession
• Player anticipates there will be a defending play by the opponent and without fouling and is able to hit the offside to score
