One of the core skills in polo is the offside forehand which is used in multiple in-game scenarios.
Here is an example of a successful offside forehand resulting in a goal:
- Defender takes the possession of the diverted ball from the teammate's horse, transitioning the play from defense to attack
- Player passes the ball to teammate who is ahead of all defenders with an offside forehand
- Pass receiver moves into space and receives the offside forehand pass successfully
- Attacker controls the ball to score with an offside forehand half swing while unmarked
