One of the core skills in polo is the offside cut shot which is used in multiple in-game scenarios.
Here is an example of a successful offside cut shot resulting in a goal:
- Player lays-off and moves forward to block the defender
- Pass receiver moves left to create space for passing
- Player passes with the offside open/ cuts hot into space for receiving teammate to score
- Safe ride-off to allow teammate to shoot without any opponent marking
- Player moves into space and carries the ball unmarked, scoring with an offside forehand half swing
