One of the core skills in polo is the offside neckshot which is used in multiple in-game scenarios.
Here is an example of a successful offside neckshot resulting in a goal:
- Defender takes the possession of the ball after the blocked pass
- Player passes into space or to an anticipating teammate using the offside neckshot
- Identifying passing opportunities, the pass receiver beats the defender using horse power. Moving into space, player takes possession of the ball with nearside pickup
- Player controls the bouncing ball and taps into the goal
