The player stops and turns inside the opposition, so they are on his left which protects his offside from any potential hooks.
As the player is unable to get past the opposition, he plays an offside tail backhand, passing the ball to his teammate.
His teammate is quick to pick up the new line, and plays a nearside neck shot to score the goal.
