Penalty positioning - Penalty 1 - APF

A Penalty 1 shall only be awarded at/near the goal line occurring when the offensive team has a distinct opportunity to score. If a player on the defensive side of the ball is deemed to make a dangerous or deliberate foul to save/prevent a goal, the umpires may rule a Penalty 1, resulting in an automatic goal. Following the Penalty 1, the fouled team is also awarded a Penalty 5b to resume play. Please view the following video to see an example of a Penalty 1 in action.
