Antelope has had a hugely successful season at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club this year. In its various handicap formats they have won the USPA America Cup, Robert Skene Trophy and the Folded Hills USPA Intra-Circuit and most recently the NetJets Pacific Coast Open with the above team line up. They have proven throughout the season that they are a force on the field excelling in the following areas:
Steal
Combination Plays
Ride-off
44 goals over the 4 matches played in the NetJets Pacific Coast Open including an impressive 75% accuracy rate from the penalty line thanks to Felipe Vercellino's pinpoint accuracy, saw them score 12 penalties (of 16 attempts) and 32 field goals. They are quick to anticipate each other's plays, turning quickly onto sharp accurate passes and have built up a level of understanding and trust throughout the season that sees them successfully navigate defensive attacks through quick steals and passing combinations.
Their strengths lie mainly in their attacking power, using the speed and agility of their strong four man team to spread the defending men thinly, resulting in positive possession plays that enable them to work the ball to goal.
