It was their first foray into the high goal last year and Green Gates held their own against some more experienced and established teams. While unable to get out of the qualifying round stages for either the Queen's Cup or the Gold Cup, they did have some successes, defeating La Dolfina Murus Sanctus and going into overtime against Park Place.
They improved throughout the season and their strength lay in the versatility of each of their players and their ability to move around the field, cover all bases and keep testing out different team strategies. A fluid team they worked well in defence, all 4 players doing their part to turn defensive plays into positive, territory gaining plays.
Their stats improved dramatically between the tournaments as they started to gel better as an attacking team and move from predominantly defensive play to attack, more throw ins won, more chances on goal and a better penalty conversion rate.
