Team Insight - Park Place

Park place

The Team:
Andrey Borodin (0)
Louis Hine (5)
Peke Gonzalez (7)
Hilario Ulloa (10)

Park Place have just won the USPA Gold Cup, an incredible achievemet that they have not been able to claim before. After a slightly rocky start in the CV Whitney Cup where they were finding their feet with a new line up (team stalwart Juan Britos out for Peke Gonzalez and Louis Hine coming in last minute to complete the foursome) Park Place seemed just unable to get to grips with the new dynamic and missed out on the Retama Cup (sub final) to The Dutta Corp.

However they started the USPA Gold Cup strong, Peke, Louis Hine and Hilario working incredibly together, not only showcasing their power as individual players, but crucially displaying some seamless team polo and remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. It is worth noting the dramatic improvement between the two tournaments in terms of statistics, most notably the penalty accuracy, with Hilario converting 100% of his penalties (17/17) contributing to the incredible 91% accuracy rate overall.

Both Louis Hine and Peke Gonzalez shone as forward running players, working well together to create quick interplays that stretched the opposition's defence and gave each player the space to burst out with solo runs. Field awareness and anticipation of eachother's plays was coupled with supreme horsepower from each player, giving them the ability to outmanouevre and outrun. Hilario showed his stamina and cool headedness, directing the team and always there to pick up plays and support runs while Andrey Borodin created space and took his man up front.

CV Whitney:
Didn't make the Quarter Finals due to losing out to Globalport in the Qualifiers. Runners up in the Retama Cup (the Subsidiary Final) where they lost out to The Dutta Corp.
