The Team:
Curtis Pilot (0)
Cody Ellis (5)
Matias Torres Zavaleta (8)
Facundo Pieres (9)
A fan favourite and a loyal competitor in The Gauntlet of Polo, Pilot is back this year with a brand new line up. With Matias Torres Zavaleta and Cody Ellis in for Santiago Torres and Antonio Heguy, Pilot hoped to make more impact in this year's competition having only made it to one semi final last year (the US Open which they lost to Valiente).
Facundo Pieres has teamed up with Curtis Pilot for many years capturing 2 US Open Polo Championships in that time (most recently in 2022). Looking to rekindle that success they have brought back Matias Torres Zavaleta, who helped them to victory.
Specialising in open running plays that give both Pieres and Torres Zavaleta the space to exhibit their superior ball control skills, this team's forte has been opening up the field of play, however they have struggled to generate the number of scoring opportunities from the field created by other teams. Facundo's impressive penalty accuracy has kept them in the running - the highest in the Gauntlet at 83.9%.
