Cría La Dolfina won against Ellerstina UAE Yellow Rose by a score of 18-17 in the Tortugas Open at Tortugas Country Club on Saturday.
The second match of the first day of the Tortugas Open brought the first real upset of the Triple Crown. Ellerstina were strong favourites to win the match on paper, given their team handicap advantage and their good performance at the Hurlingham Open previously this season. At halftime they led by two goals and things appeared to be following the script. The fifth chukka was the turning point, however, as Cría La Dolfina outscored their opponents 4-0. The score went back and forth after that, but the damage had been done and Cría la Dolfina hung on to win by a single goal in the end.
