Today’s lesson will cover the skill of moving in various directions on the polo field to create space or evade defenders.
Here is an example of a player turning right resulting in a goal:
- Defender successfully hooks opponent from behind
- Defender takes possession of the ball
- Player turns left to prevent the ride-off or hook from the defender
- Player passes ball to receiving teammate into space with a nearside neckshot
- Teammate controls the bouncing ball and scores with a nearside shot
