BTA/Lazy 3 won the Subsidiary-final of the U.S. Open Women's Polo Championship on Saturday 8th February, winning 8-2 against La Dolfina/90210 at the Port Mayaca Polo Club. Kylie Sheehan of Mint Eco Carwash and Mica Saracco of North Star subbed in for the Cambiaso sisters Mia and Myla. Playing minus half their usual line-up and without Mia's strong leadership and powerful plays, La Dolfina/90210 struggled to keep up with BTA/ Lazy 3.
Despite scoring a couple of goals in the first, they were unable to stem the flow of counter goals throughout the rest of the match. Possession was heavily in the victor's favour and with 14 shots to goal vs just 3 for La Dolfina it is easy to see how the scoreline was so disparate. The 2nd chukka saw BTA/ Lazy 3 score 4 goals and from then on it was a one-sided game with the established team of BTA/ Lazy 3 running out the winners.
