In a rematch of the recent USPA Women's Gold Cup Final, North Star won once again against BTA/Lazy 3 by a score of 6-5, this time in the first round of the U.S. Open Women's Polo Championship at Port Mayaca Polo Club on Tuesday 29th January. Another close match, BTA/ Lazy 3 were in the lead going in to the 4th but North Star were able to equalise in the final regulation time chukka, pushing the match into overtime with Micaela Saracco scoring the golden goal to secure the win for North Star.
