It was a rerun of the last qualifying round game with a match up between Buena Vibra and Mint Eco Carwash in the U.S. Open Women's Polo Championship at Port Mayaca Polo Club on Thursday 6th Februry, but this time it was Buena Vibra who came out with the win by a score of 8-6. Leading from the off, they dominated ball possession early and with Milly Hine and Cande Fernandez Araujo leading the attack they maintained their lead throughout despite an incredible comeback in the 2nd from Mint Eco Carwash which saw them come back from 3-0 down to equalise.
While they had an even amount of shots at the goal, both from the field and the penalty line, the two 9 goalers on Buena Vibra were better able to capitalise on each opportunity to clock up those all important goals. Milly Hine was running well through the line, picking up precision passes from Cande and the Tarazona's to create great, running, open plays. Mint Eco Carwash continued to fight throughout and were able to equalise going into the 5th chukka, but a foul on the whistle saw Buena Vibra pull away once again at the start of the 6th with a penalty in from Milly and with this slight advantage they put the pressure on and pulled off the win, Mint Eco Carwash unable to compete with the 3 goals in the last chukka.
Buena Vibra take their place in Sunday's Final.
