In the first of the three USPA Gold Cup quarter finals matches to take place on Sunday 16th March, Brookshire won against Clearwater by a comfortable score of 13-5, securing themselves a spot in Wednesday's semi finals.
Although Clearwater started strong, leading for the first two chukkas, they were unable to maintain this momentum and were only able to find the goal once after the 2nd chukka, allowing Brookshire to pull away and increase the score gap chukka by chukka. Brookshire equalised in the 3rd chukka, capitalising on mistakes made by Clearwater to turn the direction of play quickly into attacking plays and goal scoring opportunities. Once they found their rhythm, they proved themselves to be uncatchable as Jeta and Ulloa worked hard to create positive play after positive play.
