Player Insight - Victorino Ruiz Jorba

Victorino Ruiz Jorba

This strong young player is certainly one to watch, especially as we await to see his debut in the Argentine Triple Crown in late September where he joins a new young line up of Antonio and Cruz Heguy and Teodoro Lacau for a revived Indios Chapaleufu side. He played the US high goal season with team Coca Cola where he honed his skills.

While his powerful horsemanship makes him a great defensive asset, strong in the ride off and up to the task of taking on anyone on the field, his hand eye coordination results in ball control skills that makes him a hugely valuable attacking player. He is often seen taking the ball in the air, dribbling or navigating through heavy traffic while in possession of the ball.

A powerful and accurate angled tail shot is a signature shot and opens up plays for his team. Consistent and reliable, teammates know to turn up to receive and can turn the direction of play in just seconds. A low foul rate is also a testement to his control on the field as he is able to anticipate plays and has the horsemanship and ball control to avoid potential fouls that can result in goals against.

He excels in areas including:

General Defense
Steal
Ride-off
Shooting
